I have been looking for an established, successful, cash flowing business to buy. I am looking for something that is at least 10 years old, has at least 10 employees and one that I can grow. I would prefer something in home services that can help to support my rental properties. I am mostly looking at Idaho, Nevada and Utah (all driveable from my current home). I’m also interested in Texas.
Been looking for months. Finally found something that fits the bill and I’m pretty excited about it. There is an offer in on it already. I will have to raise the capital to buy it so the time lag there may hurt me. I feel like even if I don’t acquire this business, I can still be excited about the fact that this signals to me that the thing I am looking for is out there.
Why do I want this? Because I haven’t had a W2 income in many years. As an investor/entrepreneur, my income is sporadic and uneven. As a result, my access to leveraged capital is limited. Owning a cash-flowing business will give me a stable cash flow to show lenders and that will open the doors to many more opportunities for me.
Up to now, buying businesses has been a male-dominated sport. Lately I am seeing more women getting into the game. I want to pave the way for more women to take an interest in this as a path to financial independence.
